Looking for info on Kings Lake near Defuniak Springs, FL

Featured Replies

Anyone here ever fished Kings Lake just north of Defuniak Springs, FL? Its a beautiful lake about 600 acres or so. I was out there last weekend looking at some property on the lake. Looks like it would be a good lake to fish, but I did not see a lot of boats on the water. Could just be the time of year I guess. Anyway, if I'm gonna invest in lakefront property, the fishing had better be good. Anyone have any info to report on this lake?

Other nearby lakes are Juniper Lake and Lake Holly. Anyone got a report on those?

Thanks.

Stayed at Sunset King Lake RV Resort back in early June. Only spent one night there but did speak with several guys coming off the lake. They spoke highly of it and the photos in the office looked good. It's on my bucket list. There is a boat ramp at the RV Resort, so if you have time you may want to swing by and talk to some of the locals. Sorry I don't have any more info.

i know back in the 80's it was considered a big bass lake .i was told the lake record was 17+ lbs. at one time my cousin ran a time share resort out of king and holly and they produced hugh bass every yr.
