Tips- East Lake Toho... FL

Featured Replies

hello, i have a tourniment on East Lake Toho Saturday mornin and ive never had any luck on it. Saturdays conditions is the low is 50 and the high is 70. just want some tactics and tips on what to throw.

please last tourney of the year and need the win.

:)

go to flwoutdoors.com and watch the lake toho tournament. might help.

if you don't watch it, brett hite took 1st place and used a vibrating jig w/ a swimming senko trailer. swam it on the edges of shallow grass and pads.

the flw tournament was on west lake toho.

east lake toho has been tough when the conditions are right, and they are not right this weekend.

And Brett was actually fishing in Lake Kissimmee.  I caught bass yesterday on a white/glimmer blue fluke.  But I was in the Southport Canal between Cypress and W Toho.  This time last year they were killing a frog in the afternoon.  I have not had any success with a frog in the last month though.  I don't fish E Toho much either so I can't give you any spots but in the last month here is how I have caught them on the Kissimmee Chain.

5-6 ft deep

outside grass lines

near deep water or a ledge

bomber 8a in firetiger

strike king series 1 in sexy shad

fluke

Most of the bites have been after noon.
