Carrot Stix are Orange...........snookums
It always amuses me how the same guys go from one thread to another, bashing on carrot stix. Then the same guys come along to defend them. I think we need a Carrot Stix FAQ or something because this thread is exactly the last 200 of them.

Refuse to Use Spincast
I have yet to use a lure that I couldn't cast with a Curado E and 12# Yo-Zuri Hybrid.

shimano curado e 5.0.1 retrieve where to buy
I know of a shop in Opelika that has them for $135. PM me for directions.

What is the smoothest line for long casting?
Listen to what Branuss and RW said about the rod, and my suggestion for line would be 10# or 12# Yo-Zuri Hybrid treated with KVD Line & Lure.

Finally switching!!!!!
You just said it wasn't better or worse, as well as listing complaints about fireline that I've never had with Power Pro. So how does that mean its better than Power Pro? Either way, my suggestion for you would be P-line CXX in 20# or 25#. Incredible breaking strength, much better than BPS Flouro. And you don't have to deal with all the things about braid that you dislike, which seems to be a lot.

Finally switching!!!!!
I hate to say I told you so but.... ;D. I used Power Pro for a while, then Big Game, but now I've settled on 20# P-Line CXX crystal clear.

First bass on a frog :)
It looks to me like if you catch a fish on the hook you added, its going to tear right through the top of the frog, ruining it.

Confusion between right and left handed reels.
Yup, for casting it makes no real difference! But, for flippin'/pitchin with your right hand, a left hand retrieve reel is ideal. Sometimes the strike comes immediately after the lure hits the water. It's easy to learn to pitch and flip lefty, so you dont have to switch hands. I taught myself and it is quite a blessing, because I can't retrieve left-handed for the life of me.

Rumors & Lies About You
From experience, the best way to deal with it is to have a club meeting, whenever everyone can be there, whether it's before or after a tournament. Then when everyone is there, open up the floor and squash it. Get it all out and let people know what you think and listen to what they are saying. If the rumors are about the breaking of tournament rules, then whatever the rules say obviously goes. But if its more a moral problem, then your just going to have to accept that other people are not going to have the same views as you, and then you should ask for them to accept yours as well. Hope this helps whatever the problem is.

Slang for "did really well" :-)
Normally after a tournament I'll ask things such as: Were you on em? You whack em? I have also heard "waxed" in place of "whacked"

Power Pro, Suffix, NOT FIRELINE. 50# or 65#

Scott Martin vs. Roland Martin
Can you list a few of these "junky" products other than the previously stated rocket launcher rod? I'm sure there is a member on this forum that has used and liked to a certain extent the product. There may be some better, but that doesn't make the product he is selling "junky."
-
Scott Martin vs. Roland Martin
It isn't unethical to market a product. Fishing equipment quality is opinion based anyway. You may like Daiwa over Shimano, but that does that mean its unethical to market Shimano reels? I'm sure no matter what he is selling, someone out there thinks its a great product, including the rocket launcher rod thing. There is probably a kid catching bluegill on it right now.

What's your favorite crankbait?
I'm surprised no one has thrown out H2O yet, cheaaaaaappppp and quality.

Scott Martin vs. Roland Martin
I don't begrudge anyone for trying to make some money. What I am questioning is the ethics behind how that money is earned. If I was famous on any level (which obviously, I'm not), I would only promote or represent products I believe in and use. I can't imagine Roland really believes in or uses the helicopter lure or the Rocket Fishing Pole. For example, I'm not a big fan of the Ugly Stick Rod and I don't really recommend it to people who ask my advice on it, but wouldn't you think I would be a hypocrite if all of a sudden you gave me let's say $20,000 to go around the country proclaiming how great the Ugly Stick is. That's the only point I am trying to make. I think both of their attitudes suck. I met Roland but not Scott. Quote by Scott in ad, "Never give 100% when you can get by with 50". They are Lazy 'want-to-be' and 'has-been'. Kelley I guess that really depends on the situation, in a football game if your team is killing the other team, don't you take your starters out? Or do you leave them in because you want to give 100%? Somethings just don't require as much effort, and maybe to them fishing is one of those things. Not saying I agree necessarily, just another view.

Should i flip braid or flourocarbon? Whats the best braid
I flip with 20 lb Big Game, it has yet to fail me. Try a few lines out, then make your own judgment. I use to flip with braid but wanted some stretch in my line at such close quarters. Use whatever your most comfortable with.

thats a lot of bass

How many times will an average fish be caught per year
I don't need to know about your lakes. It's just general knowledge that I'm drawing my conclusion from. I'm saying that your most likely wrong about the identity of the fish, or you are lying. Because the way you explained it, depending on how often you fish, you have probably caught the same fish 20+ times. I seriously doubt a fish would survive that many times being caught, especially with soft plastics. Not to mention the fact that you have never failed to catch this fish on any of your fishing trips. There are a ridiculous amount of variables that would have to all be in place for this to happen, as well as dumb luck to be able to stroll up on this fish at the same time he is there. If this were all true then you should quit wasting money on fishing and play the lottery, because you sir are the luckiest man alive. I apologize if my disbelief upsets you, but far fetched and often untrue stories like this are one thing that gets at my nerves a little bit.

Problem using shimano citica and powerpro 30lbs braid
Use the palomar knot, keep the Power Pro and don't even think about picking up Fireline.
