I didn't want to hijack Micro's thread, so I started this one instead.

Lot's of guys love the bling bling, but that's not my cup of tea. I

like rod & reel combinations dark or shiny, but with simple lines.

I guess fishing gear that looks more like guns.

All of my Shimanos are like that, but to pick just two as

Personally, I think the Core is one of the best looking reels on the market.  It's just sleek and the black and red makes it even better, and now the new chronarch in the silver, wonderful body design.  

One that catches me fish!!!  

Anyways, I'm not into bright colors on my reels.  I like black or silver or a combo of the two.

All of my reels have the typical aluminum look with a brass color here and there. I don't really care what mine looks like as long as it gets the job done! My rods all have dark blues/greens.

To me what makes a reel "Beautiful" is precision fit components, and smooth operation.

different tastes. The first reel in your post is the perfect

example of something I don't care for at all. Just different

It 's a beautiful reel as it comes out of the box, but you should see it with the red anodized star drag and the cast control cap of the Type R+ ....... golllly mollly !.

Now these are what I consider pretty reels in my opinion and we all know you can't beat a shimano on reliabilaty and performance

idk what happend to that last repy I made but this one was supposed to show up.  I believe this to be a nice reel in my opinion I like it better than the chromica.

I'm pretty sure you can beat the reliability & performance of a Chromica pretty easily.  But I guess this thread is about looks, so if you like it...  I guess that's all that matters.

Here are my 4 reels and rods. I like them clean and more "low key" than flashy reels. If i had to pick any reel it would be the shimano core. I like the charcoal and red combo. It looks awesome!!!

The Core + Cumara is a fine looking combo.

The Stradic + Cumara is pretty nice too. I have one of the older white versions on my Cumara and it just doesn't look as good as the new silver one.
