Yeah, I don't think you are supposed to stand too close to those gators when they are out of the water like that.  He dosn't look like a big one but if they associate humans with food the will find some way to get food from you. (ie leg, arm or so on) Usually they just jump in the water and run away, but some people feed them and they think anytime they see a human that means food.  Nice fish, and glad you had a good time down here.

it looks like the gator is sunning.....and i assume he hightailed it into the water as they approached.

That was at the golf course and just abou ten feet from the cart path. i was in a cart and use the zoom lens. No way was I gettin any closer. I respect their territory
