Tough Decision: Rodman or Talquin

Featured Replies

Spring break is coming up and I have to choose where to fish.

1) Lake Talquin, where I've never had much success (usually a couple 1 pounders) and usually resort to hauling in bream with a cane pole. The only difference is this time I'm going in the spring, when all the previous trips were in June or July.

2) Rodman Reservoir, where I've only been once, caught a 5 lb bass, and about three or four mudfish...not fun. This trip was cut short by a rain storm and I only got a couple hours in.

Might come down to a coin flip...

in rodman u will catch 8 -20 fish texas rigging the stump field, but you will catcha lot of jacks. ive never been to taliquin. but you have a good chance to catch some good fish at rodman, Im on spring break next week also and will prob. be there.
