Good lake on the way home from FL...

Featured Replies

OK everyone, here's the deal. I live in northeastern Massachusetts and I pulled my bass boat down to okeechobee in january this year. I fished for a week, then left my boat and truck down there and flew home. I will be flying back sometime in the next couple of weeks to drive it back home. I was planning on fishing for a few days then makin the long drive. But i was wondering if there is a great place to fish on the way back, ideally like halfway through the 25-26 hour drive. That would be around northern north carolina or in virginia. I know nothing about the lakes down there and any ideas would be greatly appreciated. A lake with big bass would obviously be a plus. I'm a northern boy and i've never hit the 8lb mark and i'm dying to do it. Thanks alot everyone

one place to definatly take into consideration is Briery Creek. There are some huge hawgs in there.

it not half way but the st. johns river in north east florida is a good challenge and can be alot of fun with some very big fish.

Not half way but I'd stop at the stickmarsh before leaving Florida.

THERES A LITTLE LAKE OUTSIDE OF CHARLOTTESVILLE VA THAT HAS SOME MONSTERS IN IT . I CAUGHT THIS BIG BOY AND SEVERL MORE LIKE IT.
