Dale Hollow Lake

My father and I are planning a weekend trip to the legendary Dale Hollow next month. I was wondering if anyone who lives in the area or has been there can tell me where to stay at in the 30-60.00 a night range.

I was thinking we could take a tent and stay 10-20.00 a night at some campground.

I don't feel like shelling out 100.00 a night at a cabin.

Any tips and advice on the lake would be nice and appreciated.

good luck!! i think thats where the world record smallie was caught way back when....

I'm sure there are other camping around the lake, but I know there is a nice campground in the State Park. I used to stay there a lot with my family when I was younger. It's close to a good ramp, and the brand new state dock marina.

Fishing is very good in that area of the lake also, I usually fish the mouth of Wolf River and the Illwill, Fanny Creek area. Good Luck.

If I can talk my wife out of a beach vacation the first weekend in April, I am going to fish a tournament that Saturday at the Hollow, if I do I'll post any info I find out.

Stay at Horse Creek Marina in Celina TN, its $35 a night for a motel room and Thomas will take care of any of your needs.  The jerkbait and grub bite should be in full swing by next month.  DON'T throw a sebile magic swimmer unless you want your arm broken either.  ;)
