NO BOAT/PIER

Featured Replies

I HAVE NO BOAT BUT I HAVE A MURKY WATER LAKE AROUND MY HOUSE I'M GOING ON THE PIER TOMORROW MORNING AROUND 6 30 AM AND WHAT WOULD Y'ALL DO IN THIS SITUATION THERES ROCK PILES A BROKEN DOWN PIER WEEDS AND WOOD POLES IN THE WATER. I MIGHT START WITH A EARLY MORNING BUZZBAIT OR TOPWATER THEN USE  TEXAS RIG OR CRANK BAIT AND FISH IT THROUGHLY.

first of all i wouldn't right in all caps. running texas rig down the wood and through weeds is what i'd do.

Start the moring off with a reaction strike bait like a topwater, spinnerbait, or crank. As the day goes on switch to a T-rig or jig.

I have a few brush piles off of our pier, and my #1 producer is a T-rigged worm.

I'm a cranker, so I would throw a big balsa square lipped bait up against all of that wood.  Then work it over with something slower on a texas rig, or even a weightless soft plastic.
