Potomac River Washington DC

Featured Replies

4 Mile Run Is REALLY good. Its super shallow getting back there but its definitely deep enough to get back there even with a big rig i would just idle the whole way back. Its esspecially good during winter months because there is a discharge in the very back. Ive caught smallies back there as well. When you get to the first over pass ( bridge ) stay to the left because its deeper. The water for the most part is super clear. If you wanna know more send me an email and ill help you out. The sailboat marina in there is good as well at times.

Send me an email and ill help you out with navigation and ill give you some spots that will just about always hold fish. Adrew246@aim.com

NEVER pass up oxon cove which is north of the spoils under the small bridge and south of blue plains. Ive caught my biggest bass out of there this year on the potomac ( just over 6lbs ) back in february and theres always fish in there esspecially this time of year. I wouldnt waste my time with the spoils. That place is always packed with boats, unless its a week day i wouldnt bother because your chances of getting bit out of there are slim. Be SUPER careful running this river just about everywhere as there is usually floating logs and some SUPER shallow water even in the middle of the river heading south near the WW bridge. But like i said, send me an email and ill hook you up as best i can. Adrew246@aim.com

Email Sent, thanks NitroBoy88.  It would be awesome to help the soldier fishing with us, we would love for him to place in the top 3 if possible.  I know that is difficult since we have never fished there but I am setting our goal high.
