Is there anything out there that will stop or at least slow down your tackle from rusting. I used to have a super cube that I purchased from Bass Pro awhile ago but can not find them anymore. I also heard about small dessicant bags, but can't locate any.

First of all, try to avoid getting your tackle box wet and always dry it out when you do. Then use those little packages of silicagel you get with some products you buy? They are oxygen absorbers. Put a couple in your box.

I always make sure I leave the lids on my boxes open after any fishing trip where they could have even got moist to dry out completely.

But the best thing i have found is to spray them lightly with Reel Magic right in the tackle box.  It will save you a lot of money replacing rusty hooks.  I bet other line conditioners (KVD) or WD-40 would work as well.

Cabelas has there things call Zerust Capsules, i would post a link but it wouldnt let me. I havent tried them but i assume they would work.

im not sure if this works or not  never tried it   but i heard people using those silcon gel packs  found in shoe boxes and that   throw one or two of them in a tackle box and they will asborb the moisture instead of the metal hooks and blades

Some say coloring the tips with sharpie helps, but I havn't noticed it working very well for me.

I just cleaned up a bunch of cranks with rusty hooks and rings with a product called Evapo-rust.It removes the rust in about an hour.If the hook is just surface rust you'll usually have a good sharp hook when it's done.If it rusted thru...well you know.

Baits I am using alot get their hooks changed regularly but I do keep some of the dessicant packs that come in medicine bottles in my boxes.

If I get everything soaked I'll open everything up and let it dry.

All of my hooks are in a waterproof box with silica gel packets.  Works great.

I avoid letting my stuff get wet, therefore it doesn't rust.

Silica moisture absorber packs fill up quickly and become useless in a very short period of time.  We install Silica packets much larger than you will find in most products in my company's cameras.  We purchase them with an indicator on them to let us know when they are full and cannot absorb anymore moisture.  We found that they would fill up in about 8 hours in our air conditioned building with 30% humidity.  The ones that you find in products that you buy are probably full and completely useless.  

           I have to do two things to keep my hooks from rusting.  Bring my tackle inside the house after each trip.  If I fish in the rain, when I get home I open each of my 3600, 3700 and spinnerbait boxes, place them on a table and leave them open until they dry out.  I  don't have a garage so if I leave my tackle in my compartments in my boat they WILL rust!  If I don't dry off my tackle when it gets wet it WILL rust.  Do these two things and you will not have a problem.
