i bought a pack of nightcrawlers from berkley gulp! in pumpkinseed and i have zero experience fishing plastic worms so whats the best way to fish these? carolina rig? texas rigged? weightless or not? texposed? skinrigged? wacky rigged? on a jighead? remember i've never fishing a plastic worm in my life, so please elaborate

p.s this is for other kinds of worms too

I've had the gulp crawlers (in the natural color) for a couple of years now and fished them a number of different ways, but i've had my most success by far when wacky rigging them. they usually only last for about two or three fish (if that) but if ya rehook them a few times you may be able to get a few more fish out of them.

i'm sorry manny, as for being elaborate, I wacky rig them by hooking them through the middle of the body so that the worm is perpindicular with the hook (per say) and fish it weightless, to learn more about wacky rigging, try a search for it on this site, you should find more than enough information.

I voted for Texas weightless. I used them this year in Junebug and Watermelon and they cleaned up!  ;D I can't find enough of them, in fact I went to Dick's and bought them all.

They are really great on a jig head.  I have used them weightless and T-rig and had some luck with those types of rig but I got more consistant bites with the jig head.

I primarily fish 'em on a small (1/8 or 1/4 oz) Slider head -- I'm not sure if that is conisdered T-rigged or on a jig head.

when fished on a texas rig with weight, what kind of weight do you use? and is it fished along the bottom or higher up?
