Camp Mack Resort

Featured Replies

You do what you want, but I have never had any problems. I have stayed in the camp ground and cabins during holidays and tournament weekends. I have heard of 1 break in at the motel but that's it.

yeah, but didnt they hit 10 boats that night? whoops, thankfully i was sleeping on the deck of mine!

About two years ago, someone tried to pry the passenger side door open on my old truck.  I was the first car parked next to the fence right by the boatramp and it was done in broad daylight   >:(

If I ever do an overnight, I'll be sleeping on my boat too  :(

I was there for a BFL tournament last May and 9 boats got broken into during the night. Take all rods, reels, tackle, electronics, and other valuables into the motel/cabin each night and you'll have no problems. If you have an expensive prop, take that off too.  Other than that minor detail, Camp Mack is a nice place to stay and very convenient/affordable.

I stayed at Camp Mack three times last year.  While I was there (in May, I think) for an FLW event more that a dozen boats were broken into and robbed.  Jim Bitter of Bitter Bait and Tackle was one of the victims.  There was a significant amount of equipment stolen, and several boats were damaged.  It is my understanding that security has been increased.
