Did the cold weather kill the Peacocks?  I have not seen a report from anybody on how they fared.  I was thinking of making a trip farther south in Fla to fish for 3 or 4 days....but are they still there in numbers...I have not seen a report yet.  You can PM me if you want to and not post in public forum...I really need some help here.  Thanks a lot.

Have yet to catch a peacock in my area since the cold spell, have heard of some sporadic catches in Dade.

I went bank hopping today and didn't come across any but I was mainly targeting largemouth as they seem to be in spawn mode.  Tomorrow I'll be checking some more areas but I did see a fair amount of other cichlids that made it through the cold(Mayans, Jags, and Tilapia).  Needs to heat up a little more for them to hit the shallows and get out from the depths.

Bottom line summary, the peacock kill was extensive in Broward and Palm Beach and pretty bad in Dade. While there are sporadic catches in Broward your best shot with be the C-4 (Tamiami Canal) or further south like the C-100, C-101 etc. Even there, the catch rates are about half of normal for this time of year
