Anyone having any luck in the Richmond area?  I haven't been out in a few weeks and I'm curious if things have picked up at all.

Fishing in local ponds in the Short Pump area has been producing for me.  Slow rolling spinnerbaits on drop-offs along with shallow cranks across rock beds and brush hogs!

hey hokie what pond you talking about because i didnt know there were any in shortpump.

There is one in the Fox-Hall/Colonies Area.  Its called wilde lake.  Its been producing very well for me the past week or so particularlly.  PM me if you interested in directions or want to head up there.

what is wilde lake?

you got an address for the lake?  i may need to hit that up

also, anyone want to go fishing this saturday?

whata the biggest you pulled out of it?

Its a decent sized neighborhood lake that holds some nice size lunkers. Along with many decent sized ones.

o ok, so the shortpump lakes and that neighborhood lake are the same lake.  also sunday it may thunderstorm so we will need to check the weather sunday before we meet up.

Carrington- Yea the weather seems like it may not cooperate, but we just need to keep tabs on it.

Hookingem- The biggest bass I pulled out was a 10lb slab about 3years ago.  Caught it on a white chatterbait with a red trailer

well i may run down to the lake saturday then, ill just have to find it since you said i have to go down dirt roads and such once i get to the address you gave me but ill find it.  also is the shore pretty open on this lake like not to many trees and such.

d**n nice ill try and meet up on sunday to fish it sounds pretty good thanks for the directions

The lake is fishable all the way around on the one lake and the other side is a little more covered.  The lake itself is about 8-12ft deep mostly with some shallow spots and what-not.  Just be careful if you walk around by the houses on the lake.  Some people do not care at all while others care a little more-so.  But the houses are along only about 1/4 of the lake so every other bit is easily accessible

mathews if you want we can go saturday to insure the weather will be fine, and who ever else wants to come can come.

i may try to get out there around 12-2 and ill stay till dark.

i fished wilde lake today saw a bunch of bass near the bank looking like they were about to spawn alot of small ones and about 10-15 4-6 pounders i tried throwing everything i had at them but every time i would cast near them or past them and reel my bait up to them they would spook and swim off. hopefully when i go tomorrow they will be closer to spawning and wont swim off as much

mathews, did you plan on coming to southside tommarow also?
