Myrtle beach area Bassin????

Featured Replies

Hi Guys, just a general enquiry please of you SC Bassers. Wife is going down to Myrtle Beach Golfing in November with some buddies. Wants me to go too :-/

I don't golf much...(very little to be honest) Not sure what I am looking for yet, but would consider a few days during the trip at a Bassin lodge etc in the area, if that's possible. Web search has not revealed much so far.  However it seems November Bassin in SC can be very good!

Any info for an out of townee would be really appreciated as to what may be possible!....May even bring my boat down but that would make the trip kinda pricey on gas etc.

Thanks in advance.

were you able to get any info?  I will be in the area end of May and was hoping to find a guide.  There are a bunch of salt water services out of Ocean Isle, just over the boarder in NC

if you do saltwater trips, do not do the sea bass trip.  i went last weekend and it was 8 foot waves on a 25 foot boat with 15 people.  it was also a bad guide.  but as for freshwater i couldnt find any.

Thanks Guys...appreciated.  Seems I must somehow get out of making the trip with the Missus and hit Fall walleye up here instead....whilst the cats away and all that.... ;)

you might want to consider going to do a little offshore fishing out of ocean isle area - late fall fishing can be really good depending on water temperature.  You can catch king mackeral, spanish mackeral, mahi mahi trolling or could catch grouper, sea bass, snapper, etc by bottom fishing.  guide for a day could run around $150 - $400 depending on who you get but that would be for just you and any guests you would want to fish with.  it's different from bass fishing but a ton of fun.  I have a boat down in that area and have been getting more and more into this type of fishing for the past few years.  good luck
