Will be hitting briery for the first time this year and would love some tips. Anyone fish it lately? Are fish on the beds? And tips are greatly apprecaited ;D

Some are one beds but not widespread. With the forecasted low in the 30's Sunday night and a week ago, it's been a hit and miss deal.

I'm still catching good numbers with a few in the 5# to 8# range. I was there yesterday.

Concentrate on the steep drops near spawning flats and creek channels- the most productive depth range has been 4'-6'.

man alive. The problem with fishing out of a raft is that i would get killed fishing in that lake with the stumps. I am jealous of all who get to fish that blessed place. Wayne usually pulls 50 bass everytime he goes, but don't be fooled, not many people catch a quarter of that amount. Wayne knows the lake better than any. He is being modest but also pulled a 6.12 that evening and several other big ones. He is consistent and honest when he gives advice so be smart, listen to the man! Well done Wayne

did you see her hanging to the standing timber with that sideimaging  ....nice one wayne!

Aluma-Bass, yes I did see her with the SI next to a tree that was horizonal with the butt end just above the water line. The water depth was around 5'. It's tough to figure if the white spots are fish or something else, but that white spot took my weedless wacky finesse worm.

It's like sight fishing without actually seeing the fish.

thats awsome wayne!!! I also like the way you concentrate on the drops near spawning flats or just the way you will concentrate on diff types staging areas / structure trying to find fish....i like the way you think 

Wow! That's fantastic! I'm fishing Briary middle of May, and I'd love to catch some just like that!  I'm really excited, too, because I've never fished a lake that is a known big bass lake like this before.
