For NC guys/gals fishing Tuckertown Dam in Albermarle

Featured Replies

Beware. I was fishing with my pops yesterday and when we came back to the car, some punk cut the muffler off my dad's truck. I don't think it was "vandalism vandalism" cause there were no key marks, popped tires, etc. but someone out there is taking parts off to sell to a local junkyard or ebay.

I was sooo ticked I could have shoved my Cardiff down the dude's throat.

We had to drive all the way back to Hickory with that loud muffler noise...sounded like a tugboat the whole way home.

Isn't copper in mufflers?  I could be wrong, but I thought I saw a local news report of thieves stealing mufflers for their copper.

I lived half my life in NC and i will tell you that the crackheads there will steal anything to trade or sell or pawn to get crack or money for crack. then they will break telescopic antennas off of cars and use them for crack stems. had an old car break down on me overnight at like 2-3am one night. went back the next day and my window was busted out and someone had popped the hood and stole my battery...

Yeah.  Don't know 'bout the newer truck models but when my dad told this to a buddy of his, his friend said something about the copper in the muffler too.
