Been thinking about trying the lakes up at shelby forest in shelby county anyone know anything about it?

Poplar tree is tough fishing right now. Water clarity is bad and level is low. I have not been able to establish any kind of pattern, which is unusual for that lake, but I have been catching them. Shakey head, spinnerbaits, worms and trick worms for the most part around fallen trees.

i was plannin on heading up there sunday but am i gonna need a boat or is it ok bank fishing. I mean if i catch i catch but im just lookin for as much practice i can get on techniques and whatever
