Kanawha River Help

Featured Replies

I am fishing in a tourney next week on the Kanawha River in the Charleston, WV area.  Can anyone give me some tips on where to go and what to use?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

where are you launching and what are the boundries?

I am launching at Verizon Park ramp.  The boundries are any water obtainable from that boat ramp, so pretty much anywhere up and down the river.

Huntfish7, I'm assuming you are fishing the Fishers of Men Regional Championship since your going out of Verizon ramp.  I want to caution you on soliciting info on here, as it is against the rules for that event.  If you are not fishing it, my appologies.  There will be approx 120 boats going out of Verizon most of this week between practice and tournament days.

You know you can delete this post don't you ?

i think its dumb that this isnt allowed. why cant you discuss fishing on a certain body of water.... any good fisherman know that conditions constantly change. what works one day wont work the next.... i dont know... i just think its stupid you cant talk about fishin.

You're not kidding! I drove from Institute to Montgomery today, and I bet I saw 25-30 bass boats on the river along the way. That's mid-day on a Wednesday!
