Bay Springs Febuary?

Featured Replies

Found out my first tournament is in Febuary on Bay Springs. I know that bite will still be slow but, does anyone know much about Bay Springs. I know Mark Rose won a FLW tournament but running an hour from Pickwick to get there but thats about it.

I have fished there a couple of times. It is a deep clear water lake. Both times i have been was late summer last year. There was alot of grass up in coves, but I dont know how it will be this time of year. i was really impressed with the lake tho. I will be going back this spring for sure

have fished there a couple times.  i've never done much good in that lake.  Everyone talks about a place called five fingers.  might be able to recognize this on google earth if you look around.  It has some deep spots in the lake. and a ton of coves you can run back in but be careful they tend to shallow up quickly in spots.  some of the coves can be full of stumps. I think we have put in at mcferrin (something like that)  and there is a nice drop off not far from the boat ramp there.  when u leave the ramp and head out to the main channel there is like a small island kinda to the left.  there are several ledges and drop offs there. drops from 3-5 to around 22 quickly.  other than that im no help.  remember i said i havent had much luck there!!!!
