Tube Baits
Hey guys I have been trying fish with 4" powerbait tubes this year. Where I fish there is a lot of grass and structure and all plastics that I fish have to be weedless. I have tried T-Rigging them but just seem to have a hard time keeping the hook in them. Was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on how the best way to rig them weedless for example what size hook works best?

Spawn and Cold Front
Once the spawn begins, what happens when a cold front comes through. Do the males abandon the nests and head for deeper water or do they stay on the nest tough it out in the shallows. Fight or flight?
-
What would you do?
PreSpawn Water clarity < 1ft (Muddy) Water temp is 55 degrees right after a cold front. A week ago the water temp was 60. This is a river system that has lots of structure in 2-8ft and lots of shallow flats with grass in 2ft or less. Main channel ranges from 12-20ft. What lures, color, and what depth would you target?

Navplanner2???
Hey guys I need a little help. I am intersested in getting some topo/contour software for my pc. I have older outdated electronics on my boat and wont be able to view them or transfer them to the boat, however I do have a handheld Garmin that I use and could transfer the coordinates too. I was just wondering how all of this works. Is the Navplanner gonna do what I want. I just want to view my fishing spots on the computer and transfer the coordinates to my hanheld unit. ANy help would be appreciated. Also any other suggestions that you might have. Oh and all of the lakes that I fish are listed on the software. Thanks

kvd leads
It was funny during the press conference they asked Rook why that area was so special and he said " cuz Van Dam is there, you know its got to be good, haha". I was really impressed with Brent Chapman's limit today. He said that he had to run 120 miles one way!!!! And only got to fish for an hr and some change due to the fog delay. Personally, that is pretty impressive to me. Who knows what he can do with a full day. Tomorrow will be interesting. Anyone know how long the fog delay was?

how big do they get in the Louisiana Delta?
Apparently pretty big. KVD said he caught an 8-9lber in "the area" that they been fishing during practice. Game over if she bites him again.

Maps
I am looking for the best source for lake/river contour maps. I have been using google earth and bing maps but that only tells me so much. I have read about the NavPlanner2 software. Is this the best? are there others? I live in MS so I would want something that shows inland lakes for this area. I dont have depth finders capable of GPS or charts so what I will doing is viewing on the computer and getting coordinates and programming them into my hand held GPS. Thanks for any help Maneframe

Power Tackle Lateral Perch
They look really good but too rich for my blood. I know myself too well and can see me breaking one of these off at $13 a pop. I would be sick.

Hello from Mississippi
Hey guys, I live in Starkville where i am a grad student at MS State studying Entomology. I am originally from West Tn so I am back and forth from time to time. I have only recently taken up the hobbie of bass fishing but love it. I have been exploring lakes and rivers near starkville and try to make every trip a productive learning experience. ANy of you guys close to this area lets meet up or maybe share a boat together sometime. I always look for the opportunity to meet new folks. Lucas (Maneframe)

Restocking the tacklebox/Show it off.
Oh and let us know how those skeet reese poles work out. I got a crank bait rod last year and it is a really nice rod.

Restocking the tacklebox/Show it off.
Apparently, this is the time of year that the stores get rid of the overstocked items. Went to a huge fishing store and 3 rubbermaid tubs caught my attention....on the side it said "everything inside .99 cents." I looked like a kid in a candy store. Got 20 packs of plastics for 20 bones. Can't beat that. I had to make a mental note to myself to check them out again this time next year.

Best most productive presentation for a finesse worm
hey guys I apologizefor my ignorance, but I am new to bass fishing and I am not up to snuff on all the bait technology. Anyway here goes, what designates a finesse worm? This may be a vague question but I would like to know in general the difference in a finesse worm versus a traditional worm. Here is why I ask, I have tried the shaky head and am planning to try the drop shot this year. I have read that the floating baits are the ones to use for these techniques. Many times when I look at baits it is not obvious to me whether they float or not. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

couple of questions: Drop shotting and Fising Flukes
Thanks guys, I am just ready for some warm weather so I can try it out! Last year, I encoutered lots of suspended fish and could never seem to get them to strike. Hopefully, incorporating these techniques will help me put them in the boat this year.

couple of questions: Drop shotting and Fising Flukes
First of all, this is my first post. However, I have been reading on here alot. I really enjoy this site. I am new to bass fishing and love it. I have been fishing the last couple of years, but didnt get serious till last year. I purchased a boat and hit the water every chance that I get. I have been experimenting with different things. I really love fishing soft plastics mainly t-rigged. This what I have the most confidence with, however I have thrown crankbaits and spinnerbaits quite a bit. I have 2 questions: I am wanting to try the drop shot this year, what is the best way to rig one of these and what bait/knot /weight should i use? Also, i want to try a fluke this year. Do i need to use a weight with these if so what size? Also would a spinning rod and reel work better for this technique? Thanks in advance.
