Myrtle Beach golf ponds in March

Featured Replies

A group of us are going to be in the Myrtle Beach area on a golf trip the 1st week of March. We are staying in condos on a course with several large ponds near the condos. I will have a very serious urge to wet a line. Any suggestions for what to throw that time of year in that area?

Before throwing a line you have a decision to make.

Either....

1.  Call course manager and get permission to fish from sunup until first tee time; or

2.  Take the chance and just go fishing until you get run off.

As for what to throw? What is the water temperature in March at the golf course? What is the water clarity? What is the main forage?

You know what to try depending on the above so bring the tackle and give it a try. And don't forget your Senkos!

I love golf course ponds and once you figure out the pattern it is some of the best fishing you can enjoy.

Have fun and if you get arrested let us know.  ;D

Trespassing is illegal, and promoting it is against our rules.
