I got a letter from BASSIN magazine saying i have won a free Abu Garcia rod and reel or a consolation gift, anyone else get one from BASSIN?

    Read the fine print - by sending it in, you are subscribing to their rag, and are then entered in a drawing where your chances are next to nil for winning because you have to be one of the very first persons to respond in order to qualify.

    To top it off, they won't even mention what reel or rod you might win - so it's probably a discontinued cheap model.

    It's about as close to breaking the "truth in advertising" law as you can get.  And I bet there's a "deceptive practices" lawsuit in there somewhere.
