anyone noticed any beds in va yet i have not but some water temps are getting very close so thought id put it out there too see if anyone else has seen some beds or a good prespawn bite ? so far for me with this crazy weather hot cold hot cold the fishing has bn the same hot and cold

think lil early for bed action in our area....

when the water temp maintains 62 deg. bass will go to beds 55 to 62 deg. will be your best prespawn fishing

Haven't seen any beds bu teh bite was pretty good last Saturday. went out in the evening 3-730 and caught about 6 bass and 2 blue gill. Mostly dinks but a couple 2-3 lbers. most were in the back of coves in water depths between 5-10 feet around laydowns water temps were from 56-60

Sam, you are exacly right and 62+ deg. water and dogwoods go togather hand and hand !!! My granddad always said start Crappie fishing when the dogwoods bloom

well dang thats still close to a month off. 

i have noticed some bigger fish cruising around in the shallows near cover... but all the fish ive caught have been in at least 5 feet of water

Ben, they are probably eating to get fat for the spawn.

Staging off shore and then running to the bank for an easy meal and then back deep.
