Tenmile Lakes

Featured Replies

I was hoping to get some basic info on this lake.  I am travelling down at the end of April for a NW Bass tournament.  I have never fished the lake and probably won't be able to prefish for it since i have a tournament up here in Washington state the week prior.  Any info would be very helpful and appreciated.  Thanks.

Are you referring to tenmile lake on the oregon coast?

Yes that's the one.

Well I wish I had a bunch of info for you, but ive only been twice, both times to the northern of the two lakes.  The fishing is great though, was there during the later summer months with some buddies, it turned into more of a drinking vacation than fishing though.  They hold quite a few tournaments there from what I hear and 3-5 pounders are common. Good luck!

Fished a tournament back in October at Tenmile as a non-boater. People had the best success on spinnerbaits early. Brush hogs also seemed to do the trick. I fished a fat ika weightless for good numbers, but could not get anything with any size to bite. Was a bluebird day after a week of rain when I went, so wasn't the greatest.

You may get away from the skiers on the north lake but you will not catch the winning bag there.  The south lake will produce better weight.  April, bass should be in the pre-spawn/spawn there so should be lots of action.  Check out google earth & hit the dock structures...I have a tourney at the end of march there.  I will send you a pm afterwards (If i can remember).
