Featured Replies

Ok i got a hot tip on a location of big bass. yet i have never fished or seen this spot and i thinking about hiting it tomorrow, one problem i really dont know how to start. i dont know the clarity or if there is any structer the only thing i really know is where the location is. can any one help. o yea it is spose to be overcast tomorrow and temp in the high 50s low 60s water temp i belive in mid 40s.

With what you have described I would probably start out with a jig.  Just guessing though.

Yep, hard to beat a jig. You might also want to try a T-rigged Senko weightless. IF the water is murky, try a lighter colored jig. I'd stick with a watermelon w/red or black flake Senko color initially as well.

Don't forget to throw a few rat-l-traps at em.

The problem with throwing a jig in this situation is that you will not be covering much water - I would go with a spinner bait &/or Rat-l-trap as a search bait and then follow up with a jig or a Senko after you figure out what they are doing.

I agree. Throw the Rat-l-trap.
