Lake Perris

Featured Replies

I lived in the Moreno valley as a kid and was not into bass fishing then. I have always wondered if that was/is a good bass lake. Any input would be great.

I have heard it is a pretty good lake.  I know it is the only lake in Southern California that has Spots.  I hear that overall the bite is pretty decent there.

Water is WAAAYYY down from what it used to be.  Water clarity is only 3-4 feet where it used to be 10+ feet.  Still plenty of fish to be caught there though.  I was out with my day on Friday afternoon and I got 9 between 1-2.5lbs on a spinnerbait.  My dad stuck a 3lber on a jerkbait.  There are a lot of big fish in there though, I just haven't caught any lately.

Spotties are pretty much history.  Was great fishery for spotted bass in the 80s, but, people planted largemouth and they took over.

Lake has some huge bluegill.

Have not fished it for about 5 years.
