Hitting Lower Otay tomorrow in my new ProCraft

Featured Replies

I'll be on Lower Otay tomorrow with my son and a friend of his from work. It'll be the 1st time out on the used ProCraft that I bought on the 5th of this month. IF any of you other So CA guys are out there and see me/us, give a shout. My boat is white with a burgandy bottom up front. I'm loaded for bear, but would happily settle for a nice 5+ pounder:o)

hey popeye if you ever need a partner im always glad to go. i live in chula vista, and fish otay from a tube all the time. i wouldnt mind giving my legs a break now and again.

OK. PM me with your phone number. I'm kinda "booked up" with my sons and grandkids for the next several weekends but after that I'm sure they'll loose interest (unless they end up catching some nice fish). Otay has been CRUEL to me the last few times out. I've been throwing everything I can think of with negative results. I have had a few good strikes but failed to hook up with anything. Can't seem to figure the lake out just yet. I know the Harvey Arm is usually a better producer but last Sunday the wind was so bad that we abandoned that area and went around North Point to the Otay Arm. Still had no success.

Saw a guy and his son at San V on Sunday in a blue and white 05 Procraft. Almost thought it was you.  Wind was dead calm out there!

I gotta start hitting some of the other local lakes! It's just that Otay is only about 15 minutes from my place and so easy to access and I know there are some monsters in there - somewhere:o)

Yeah you do.  :)  I had one of my best days ever down at El Cap.
