Where are the bass in Lake Washington, WA right about now?

Featured Replies

Once final exams are over and winter break comes along, i'm planning on setting up the rig and hit Lake Washington (from a boat launch near the University of Washington bay area).

Any "hotspots" around that area for some winter bass? What techniques should i use? at what depths?  And even if you're not familiar with Lake WA, where would fish be at this time of year in the Pacific Northwest?

Thanks a bunch! ;)

Theres that very well known point right on the edge of the bay...

Look deeper like 30-50ft.

Webster Point.  The marker is in about 20'.  Start there and work deeper.  The fish the 520 bridge pilings straight across from there.

Community spots, yes.  But community spots don't become "community" unless they produce fish consistently.

Also, don't hesitate to fish in the middle of the channel leading out of Husky bay.  You might get lucky.  ;)

that is the montlake cut - the channel that is cut through it and out into union/husky bay is what Glenn is probably referring to.

We were out on sammamish this weekend and were marking them in 40-60ft, but we are about to have one he77 of a cold spell coming up next week!

Yes, that's the channel I'm talking about.  Fish it from the island to  deeper water in lk. WA.  Get right in the middle of it.  The channel is well marked by marker bouys.

40-60ft is about right this time of year.
