Lake Pleasant..........30 mins. from phoenix

Bartlett ..................45mins. from Scottsdale

Roosevelt , Alamo.

These are just a few of the lakes in Arizona.

Az. has some great fishing. Try the Urban lakes around downtown Phoenix, as well as Canyon lake, and Research Park.

I live in NW phoenix and it takes me about 20-30 minutes to get to Lake Pleasant. It's a huge 10,000 surface acre lake with lots of LM bass, smallmouth, blue gill. Roosevelt is even bigger. Canyon, Alamo, Saguaro, Bartlett, and even apache are large boating lakes. Also there are lots of urban lakes throughout the valley. Up north a couple hours are beautiful lakes.

With the warmer winter temps around Phoenix, I'm curious as to how the winter bass fishing is in the lakes that are mentioned?

           Thanks

The fishing is year round. Can be hit or miss in winter. Also, at Lake Pleasant we have stripers as well as largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, channel cats and flathead cats. I caught a 25# flathead there 14 months ago. Other lakes in the area are Canyon, Saguaro,  Apache,  Bartlett,  & Roosevelt. Farther away are Alamo and San Carlos Lakes. Lots of water and fishing all year here in Phoenix.    Happy Fishing.
