Drop Shot/Wigglerig question

Featured Replies

Do the drop shot rigs and the wigglerigs have to be fished vertically or can they be casted. I've seen some video of the wigglerig (I'm growing kinda partial to this one) being used with a craw and it looks like it has been casted and is being dragged more than shaken.

i cast my DS rig more than i drop it vertically

i also get many strikes dragging the drop shot with minimal shakes but i also get strikes when just shaking it in place then moving it a couple feet and repeating

I cast my DS more than vertical aswell. If you are going to cast it remember to leav a little tag line for the sinker due to the line being at an angle.

Thanks guys.

I'm about 50/50 casting vs dropping.  Just don't reel in to fast to help eliminate line twist.
