So im heading out to california in february wanted to see if any of you cali guys had any tips for me.  Ill be in southern california. Think im going to Castaic Lake and maybe Casitas.  Any tips would be nice

Where will you be staying? If your anywhere near the Inland Empire, Riverside area, I would suggest either Diamond Valley or Lake Perris. Castaic can always be fun. If you want Smale mouth hit Pyramid.

Hey there. I'm a local casitas bank fisherman. February should be alright. A couple things to keep in mind that the water is usually gin clear and that they will be stocking trout. It can be tough this time of year . My suggestion would be to talk with the guy at the marina. He has that place wired.

both casitas and castaic will be ripe for swimbaits....hudds etc...

If fishing from shore, I would stick to the lagoon at Castaic.  Less pressure than the main lake...drop shot, carolina rig, split shot....work em slow

Casitas is pretty much the same tactics.  I was there a few weeks ago and did really well on jigs and spoons, but I was in a boat.
