inaugural deer of 06-07 season-interesting kill

Featured Replies

zero hour 5:30 am...the squirells arent even up yet. i started my walk from the gate to the number 4 field (about 800 meters of trails) and i see a few small does. so i arrive at the entrance to the greenfield and i see my new treestand fallen over so i go to a blind that i had made on the other side of the field and wait...4 hours--nothin' doin' almost made a big mistake. i was about to shoot what i thought was an amazing doe when i noticed the uh...manparts. so i go for lunch and come back at about 3:30. at 445 a few does came into the middle of the field and i took what looked like the oldest doe--perfect shot (ended up puncturing both lungs) anyway here comes the interesting part...

right when i shot it it TEARS straight for me!! this got my heart going. it turned and probably didnt last 10 seconds after the shot. well thats all for saturday hopefully i can get that 8 pt i let got twice last year.

peace,

pimps mcgee
