Goodbye Art Shell

The Raiders fired Shell after one agonizing season.....he was a great player in his day but a head coach he was not. He did okay the first time around coaching but not good enough to be re-hired this time. The Raiders will most likely have to promote from within due to the fact that the Raiders coaching job is probably the least desired HC job in the entire NFL because nobody wants to deal with 'ol Al Davis.

"Just wince baby"   :-[

Do you suppose that Al Davis regrets letting Mike Shanahan go???  ;D ;D ;D

Yeah, you're right. As long as Al Davis tries to coach the team,it'll be a long time before they can get a coach that can get 'em back to the promised land.

In addition to that, the in-fighting on the squad and amongst the coaches is absurd!  NO head coach in his right mind would want to step into that mess!  That's just setting yourself up for failure.
