Featured Replies

i dont know if this belongs in this forum, but i will give it a shot. it looks like i will have to have tennis elbow surgery , there is a tear in my tendon, already tried the shots. has anyone out there had this done? how was your recovery time? i think i will be looking at 6 weeks wothout fishing, so iam trying to figure out when to have this done. i hve been fighting this for 5 months already . thank u ahead of time

I can't help you with the questions on your problem. Did want too say GOOD LUCK when you decide to do it. If there is any physical thereapy and exercises after the surgery, do it as if your life depended on. It REALLY pays off later...

I have had this surgery, hurts don't it?  I was so bad I could turn door knobs or eat with that arm.  It was about 8 years ago.  I fought it for about a year, 4 shots later I had the surgery.  I had mine it the end of fishing season so it wasn't as long as a wait that you will be fighting!!

6 weeks sounds about right before I really started using it.  MAKE SURE YOU REHAB the way your doc tells you how too.  Don't push it or you will be right back under the knife.  My recover was a lttle uncomfortable after the surgery but that is expected.  As of right now I do still have a little flare up once in awhile but I just do the excerises the doc gave me and it goes away.

I hope this helps, if not post your question.

Good Luck, Buzz
