if anyone can identify the name/ artist of this song. i saw the avett brothers play it in tuscaloosa a couple of weeks ago and i didnt ask them who wrote it. is it dylan? cash? haggard?

My guess would be Cash, Haggard's songs were always serious sounding and

It's a talkin blues that they probably wrote themselves.

It's totally influenced by Bob Dylan.

Woody Guthrie liked the talking blues format.

It's a great way to tell a story.

And yes, Bob Dylan was THE bard of the 60's.

He continues to influence artists as evidenced by this video.
