well ifinally had my surgery today..no cast!!! my arm is in a splint for 5 days then i can take the splint off ..i didn't see the doctor..all he told my friend in the waiting room was everything went well...so i don't know what he did...i have to see him in 2 weeks..have to go now..need more pills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You lucky dog!  No cast.  If you feel left out, just get a large piece of PVC pipe and slide it up your arm.  Add duct tape on each end.   ;) Ok, maybe that would be a bit extreme.  You know, most nurses went to school to learn how to torture patients don't you.   Just kidding but it is a cool benefit.  Never, never tick off a nurse!!

I had elbow surgery three weeks ago. In my case, I had a compressed ulnar nerve and the procedure was called an "ulnar nerve transposition." I had a splint on for 10 days.

thanks for the well wishs and advice...maybe i won't miss as much fishing as first thought..there is still ice on the lakes and no warm weather any time soon i guess..and i will follow doctor's orders!!!!!!
