Suprise in my Boot

Featured Replies

Went to get my boots this morning in the garage and found this little momma. She must have wanted that boot more than me!

Ahhhhhh, how cute!  Hope you let her have the boot!  Thanks for the pic.  It is awesome!

It is a wren, and yes, she can have the boot.

The House Wrens go on a nest building frenzy every year about this time! Have to keep the garage doors closed to keep them out. They're like Dirt Daubers, stand still for a little bit and you get a nest in your....uhhh.....(for lack of a better word) armpit...

Don't worry. She'll be done with it in a few weeks. That is a cool picture.

HAHA!

It looked like a tarantula to me. I was wondering why everyone was saying how cute it was.

Very cool :)

Glad you didn't evict her! :) :)

I'm assuming wrens don't have a very strong sense of smell?? lol

Submit that photo to your State Fair and you may be a winner!

A Blue Ribbon boot! :)

This wren has become a real issue around here. We have to check now each evening before we shut the garage door to make sure she is back in her boot. When I get up in the morning, I have to let her out of the garage. She leaves for a few minutes and back she comes. She is worse than a dog. I suppose I will have to pay support on the little ones!
