Went from having 20 posts per page to 10 posts per page.

I would guess to help loading times. Because yesterday loading each page was as fast as it had ever been on this site.

As I see it, if you're loading another page every 10 posts in a long thread, you're taxing things more than if you were loading 20 per page.

Would like to see this be a user-specific function.

Then again, I always view multiple-page threads as a whole rather than split into pages.

I welcome anything he can do to help... I was measuring load time in minutes last night, not seconds. I got more timed out messages than threads. I would litterally click a thread and then tab to a different site for a few minutes until it loaded or timed out, then repeat.

It's much better this morning- I hope it's a fix, instead of just low traffic!
