This is a sad story.  A local minister who loved to fish was shot in the

back of the head while fishing at his favorite fishing hole. He'd become

a grandfather just a few days before he was shot.

Tragic and sad.  Hope the scum that did this are found and punished accordingly.  Stupid.

I don't mean any disrespect.   This was a brutal crime and the culprit needs to prosecuted.

But I can't help but think, that if I could choose how to die, this would be on my short list.  I love bass fishing. to die while bass fishing means I died doing what I love best.

A bullet at close range in the head means, no pain, no suffering.

I can think of MANY worse ways to go.  

Again, no disrespect intended.  My condolenscenes to his family and his congregation.

And I especially feel badly that he and his gradchild will never get to know one another.

I hope his murderer becomes a Christian...before he is executed.

That's pitiful. I want to die someday when I'm old while fishing. But of natural causes, not by a scum bag shooting me in the back of the head.

I don't want to get into a religeous arguments.  But I can't help wondering if I am the only person who finds this statement completely bizarre?

My condolenses to his family . Although, I mean no disrespect, if I were to die I would like to go fishin or huntin or in other words doing something I love doing. That is really sad too I mean to sneak up behind a man of God and pull the trigger of a gun you have pointed at his head is just screwed up, that person or group of people need to be killed >, but if i were to do the killin of them I would make it slow and painful to teach them the last lesson that they will ever need and to teach others around not to make the same stupid judgement calls. All of those out there who own guns can bet your butts that this criminal act will be pinned on guns by the antigunners. It may also give anglers a bad name in some way, the media always has a way of twisting things around and blaming it on sportsmen... At least that is my thoughts.  This is a very sad happening that should have never happened at all but many others should have never happened also. :'(

I think your logo is totally cool, but could you shrink it down a little.  I was struggling to read your reply.  It seemed very worthwhile, but I gave up because the bass was obliterating too many words.

Hate to see a guy make a good post that gets ignored because it's unreadable.

a few people have commented on murdering "a man of God" as being especially heirnous and desreving of more serious punishment than say the murder of a plumber.

Why is that?

Honestly that is just my personal feelings and I believe that it takes a lot of balls or rather stupidity to kill someone that trys his best to bring as many people to the Lord or "Save" as many people as he can. That's the best reasoning that I have but others may have different feelings.

I do understannd where both of you are coming from. But this is just my personal feeling. So just know that the murder of anyone is wrong in my book too I just feel more strongly about killing a preacher.
