Super Do's

Featured Replies

Was out at the local Cabela's today, and saw a plastic called Venom Super Do's?  I'm a big fan of tube baits, and these look small, sleek, and effective.  Anybody use them with or without success?

No such bait on Cabela's website.  Went to Venom's website, but the picture is not very informative and there is no product description.  What exactly is this bait?  Tube, creature, other?  Glenn, do you use the 4" or the 5"?  Can you elaborate on the description a bit and possible other applications for it?  Thanks.

I haven't seen these things anywhere for a long time.  They work great on a Slider head too.  They are (or were) a smaller diameter solid body tube type bait.

I have used them but only walleye fishing, very popular on the Mississippi River.  B Fish N makes some really good ones.  Gonna give them a try on Shakey heads.

It's a solid body and it doesn't tear easily, so they last a long time.  I use the pumpkin pearl color, 4" original version.  Looks just like a smallmouth fry. I rig it on a split-shot rig just like any other finesse plastic.  I haven't seen them around for years and years - I bought them about 20 years ago and still have some.  They were my bread-n-butter until I discovered grubs.  Still a good lure to use when the bite is tough.

Hope that helps!
