I"M BACK!  Got in about 10:00 last night.

Counting last Sunday evening when I arrived, until about noon yesterday, I managed to get in four full days of fishing.  I was armed with GPS Lake Maps, FHS paper maps and great advice from Catt. Uh, I had a boat and a coupla rods and reels too.

Catt, have you ever seen a 110,000 acre lake as smooth as glass?  It was a first time for me so I was able to get some great Sunset pics.

The fishing was spotty at best.  The minimum length for bass on the Bend is 14."  The four of us boated fifteen keepers.  My partner an I boated eleven of them. ;D

Muddy, I received the T-Shirts.  They are everything ugly that I hoped they would be.  ;D ;D ;D

WELCOME GLAD YOU MADE IT HOME SAFE 8-)

Excuse me but at 168.01 try 185,600 acres; 1,400 miles of shoreline with a maximum depth: 110 feet

I was afraid of that Mike, the weather can some times be to pretty for fishing; I'm still unset I couldn't be there. Guess I'm gonna have to fully retire cause this working thing is cutting into my fishing time.

Dude I owe you a Guided trip in the very near future  ;)

Long Mike,

Got to wondering about you last night while signed on. Sorry no lunkers but glad for the time you did get in.

Catt,

I always refer to my better half as "She Who Must Be Obeyed" ;):( ;D...

                             As Ever,

Catt, my apologies for underestimating the size of the lake. I only missed it by 75,000 acres or so. Regardless, it's a REALLY BIG lake, and it was smooth as a baby's butt.

On the plus side, I caught three of my five keepers in areas you recommended. The other two were caught fishing the big grassy flats on Spooks. I didn't want to fish these areas because I don't believe they hold big bass, but the other three guys in my group fish for quantity only, and they wanted to fish the flats. I had only a half a day to fish the areas you recommended, and I caught the two largest bass.

As for the guided tour, you name the place and date and I'll be there.

I'll start putting plans together and let you know when

Every one I talked to had a tough time putting a limit together but I did hear the big catfish are biting; one guy I know who live on Lowe's Creek caught a 50 & 54 lb catfish.

skillet, that's why they are called the better half  ;)
