You know what I miss?

Featured Replies

Westerns on TV, that's what.  When I was a kid we watched westerns just about every night.  We watched Wagon Train, Have Gun Will Travel, Rawhide, Gunsmoke, Death Valley Days, Tales of Wells Fargo, Wanted Dead or Alive...  Bonanza came on too late.

There is almost nothing on broadcast TV that I care to watch any more.  SWMBO complains that I don't spend enough time with her.  I keep telling her that I would if she would turn off Dancing With the Stars and Big Brother.

You should watch Deadwood.

OB-

Some of these still come on on the Hallmark channel, TV Land plays some on Saturday afternoon, and there's another channel called WHT (World Harvest Network, I think) that plays some of the old Lone Rangers, Davey Crockett, etc. on Saturdays as well.  Some of them are still around, you just have to search for them.

I concur-Deadwood-pretty good ;)

I still watch all those shows, but my wife wouldn't let me watch Deadwood, She

said it had to many ugly words in it.

There's no more real actors/actress just a lot of special effects  ;)

Lucky for me that my cable provider has a Western channel.  Unfortunately, the Cable company seems to have a fixation on Clint Eastwood's "spaghetti westerns" and The Magnificent Seven genre.  I haven't yet seen a John Wayne flick.

I miss the simple life. I used to live in a small town. Then I moved to big D about 2 years ago, and I have gotten a little used to it but man, talk about a rat race!  Cant wait to make my millions then by an island!

Hey Long Mike, good to have you back and I will trade you all the John Wayne

movies on my cable for your Clint Eastwood's. What you think?

Frogtog, you've got a deal.  If I see one more episode of "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" I'm gonna puke.
