Got Hit By A Train Today

Featured Replies

When I got to the emergency room they told me it was just a kidney stone.

I think the train would have been a hold lot painless. I was at the mall with my grand baby, trying to get his picture made with Santa when it hit me. To the knees I went, had to take my grand baby out of line and go to the emergency

room. Man the pain, the pain. Has anyone else ever had one of these things?

:-?

Nope, but I hope you feel better after you pass it.

Nope, doctors thought I did for some reason, but it was a torn groin.

Feel better soon.  :)

Yup.  Had one in September.  My first and hopefully last.  "Excruciating pain" doesn't even begin to describe it!  Sorry you had to go through it.

Thankfully NO :P! Dr's can say "just" a kidney stone since they don't have it! Hope they can break it up or it passes with the least pain possible...

Thankfully, I've never had one, but I've watched both my dad and brother go through it. Both are pretty tough critters and they were down for the count.

Hope you feel better soon.

Thankfully I've never had one. My mom has had two over the last several years. From seeing her at the E.R. I can't even begin to imagine the pain. Hope it passes for ya soon.

Hey, frogtog.  Sorry to hear of your illness.  Never had one, but, hear they are really bad.  Hope your recovery is fast and you get those pictures soon.

Been there, done that...Your are lucky you made it to the E/R. If you have to have the surgery look for the string. It's under the covers, just look down. Only those that have enjoyed this surgery will understand what I am refering to...LOL

Had 'em twice >:(.  Made me realize I didn't want to go to Hell and didn't want anyone else to go either.  Make sure the doctor has the stone tested so he can tell you what you are eating or doing that caused it.  Mine was too many Milky Way candy bars (calcium oxylate) and not drinking enough water.  You WILL live to fish again!

Never had 'em, and I'll tell you why.  My Granddad and Dad both had them in their late 20's, and I remember my Dad going through that when I was a kid.  At the time there wasn't a whole lot they could do.  One of my younger brothers got 2 when he was in his mid 20's as well.  I promised myself I would do anything and everything I could never to get them.  So, I drink at least 3 bottles of water a day, stay away from cola colored drinks, drink a V8 every morning, and eat asparagus once a week.  Asparagus cleans out the kidneys!   ;)
