Not Loging in is a common pratice that a lot of folks will do on various sites for this or that reason. When I'm at work I don't "log on" to some of the sites that I'm a member of.

Cookies are totally harmless. They are just used by web sites to enrich your surfing.

The only way cookies could be a problem for you, is if you have someone at your home that monitors what you do online. Then cookies are not your friends they become your tattle-tails.
