KANSAS ICE

Featured Replies

Hey guys we had one heck of an ICE STORM coming through a few days ago and now there predicting snow for this weekend. Many branches came down with lots of people without power (luckily a few have had power including me). Hopefully all my fellow Kansas anglers are doing well. Being an electrician I have been busy rebuilding services on the sides of houses and installing whips on furnces ( wire with with plugs on the end) so that homeowners can heat up their house by generators. I added a few pictures but do not show justice to all the damage done.

WOW :o! I have seen ice storms, and thats about as bad as they get. That looks like a good one. Up here theres ice on limbs and all, but it isn't quite that bad. Looks like it should be fun to clean up!

You guys had it rough, I have spent the last three or four days fishing in 80 degree weather but that is going to end though. Today's high was 78, it is supposed to be 68 tommorrow and 47 by Sunday. Oh well. I hope you guys out there stay safe and hopefully it will warm up soon. I know there were alot of power outages and such.

This will give the lawn maintenance guys something to do. How do you still have power with all that ice? Man if we get just a little ice, our power goes down for weeks.

It's probably a pain to deal with, but those photos are absolutely beautiful.

Just plain luck the wires from the power station to my house never snapped and there weren't any tree limbs that fell on em.

Yes very much so a pain means I work from sun-up to sundown.  When the sun comes out though it is just amazing and very BRIGHT SUNGLASSAS are a must. Kinda like when your on the lake and the suns reflecting off the waves and it's so bright it hurts.
