I still alive & kicking, between the problems with the site and me re-injuring my back I've been MIA. Tweaked my back Friday before last and missed 3 days work last week, then went to have an MRI this past Friday and returned to work for 6 hours. I spent the last 4 days barely being able to stand or walk much less go fishing (had to turn down 3 trips)

Yuck, use the holiday week to get better before climbing back in that boat.  How's the wife?

Have had back problems for a number of years. I really can say "I know how you feel" :(. Hope you feel better soon...

The doctors finally figured out that it's not heart attacks but muscle spasms that are giving the same symptoms as heart attacks. She has a major blood vessel that has curves instead of being straight and the spasms cut off circulation.

She now has to carry nitro pills   ;)

Glad your wife is doing better.

Now it is time for you to get treatment because the beautiful spring days are right around the corner.

At least you can sit home, rest and watch the bowl games starting tomorrow evening leading up to the big one on January 7.

I know you will be watching that game.

I noticed you hadn't been posting. Sorry to hear about your back. Rest up and keep us informed. I hope the wife is doing better as well.

Yea,....Keep catchin' 10 lbr's from shore and then complain about your back,.....that's a sure way to get my sympathy,..... ::)

We were worried bout you for a minute there ya crazy Cajun.  Glad you are ok.

I really got nervous when I saw the title of this thread.

Sorry to hear about your back. Having been through six spine surgeries, I can honestly say I feel your pain. The best thing you can do is rest. Moist heat always helped me. If you can get in and out of the bathtub without too much pain, hot soaks are best.

The best fishing of the year is right around the corner, so get better. As Sam said, take it easy the next ten days or so and watch as much football as you can and don't even think about fishing.

One more word of caution, when you start feeling better, start off easy and don't think you can do everything as normal.

Good luck,

Falcon

P.S. Glad to hear your wife is doing better.

Back pain is something that will certainly take some time getting use to; I never realized how much you body depends on the back. So far I know I have severe arthritis in my lower back but what laid me up was something being pinched. I had an MRI on Friday and when during lunch today to get the results but the nurse said he hadn't read it yet. I said you tell him he has had it for 5 days now, she says you can't count weekends, I replied my back does.

I'm scheduled off on the 7th  ;)

Glad to hear the wife is okay.     Sorry to hear you have hurt your back again.    Stiffness is one thing and shooting pains are another.

I liked heated pools and the warm bathes for rehab and soothing some pain.

Hope the Christmas Holidays are blessed at the Catt House!
