A very close call?

Featured Replies

On the way home from a gathering some little punks decided to throw a large rock or piece of concrete at my truck as it passed them at 35mph. It hit just above my wife's window and just before the kid's window in my S10 ext cab, Luckily no one was hurt.

It was raining and dark but we saw 2 kids in dark hooded sweatshirts but didn't get a perfect look. I circled back and as passing by they spotted me. As I cam around the corner they vanished. I called the police ( small town ) and they seemed to him and haw around. I spotted the kids again 3 of them so I called the police again, got the wife and kids safely away and stood in the rain keeping an eye on the hoodlums as best as I could. By the time the police got there the hoodlums had vanished.

Via a little detective work I found out the kids had been in the DQ shortly afterwards but nobody knew who they were.

In restrospect I should have just confronted them when I had the chance and let a few fly.

Just had to vent thanks for istening!

You did the right thing. You dont want to do anything stupid in front of your wife and kids. Trust me I would have been very tempted as well to confront them and give them a little jack johnson and tom oleary action. I am proud of you big guy! I am not quite sure if I could keep myself controlled like you!  >:(

Uggg! you too?

My story involves some guy ticked off at somebody standing at a corner.I went to look his way to see if any cars were coming so i could drive down the road. When i looked the opposite way the guy ran over to my window banging on my window saying "What the F are you looking at i'll kick your A,blah, blah, blah". I was like "move i ain't looking at you, trying to see if any cars are coming dummy" and drove away. This guy insist on running after my car. ;D The dude was shirtless in 30 degree temps up here.he was either drunk or stoned and very ticked off at somebody and decided to pick on me instead.I didn't even know who the guy was!

I really wanted to get out of the car and beat the living crap out of him...instead i just called the cops when i got to work.I was really concerned if some kids came by him and he took it out on them. That really scared me.

Something about the day after christmas makes people do the stupidest things.

I carry something to resolve that problem real quick.(Legally)...

A wife with a temper?? ;D ;D

scary, Im glad you all are ok.

I had a couple of kids throw a block of ice at my car a couple of winters ago. They didn't know I lived in the neighborhood and knew my way around. I just kept driving, went around in a circle, and came up behind them. I jumped out of the car and started chasing them cursing. Considering the car was a POS, the look on their face when they saw me behind them was revenge enough. Im sure they had to go home and change their underwear.  ;D

Dude that really really sucks. A while back some kids smashed the big window of my house whill we were gone. Never even got to see who done it.

Well I hope you find out who have done it. Have them pay for the damages and they will probally be in trouble for long enough to teach them a lesson.

So does my father   got a permit for it and all!

Wow, thats bad. Real bad.

Right after a snow a few years back some kid hit my moms new Yukon Denali with an ice ball. My step-dad got out and chased them a solid quarter mile through the woods and gave them an --- chewin'. People dont realize what could come from somethign like that. You could jerk the wheel next thign you know you are head to head with a log truck. No one thinks of the possible consequences. >:(

Thanks guys,

No one was hurt and surprisingly and luckily no major damage to my truck. I did notice long scratches as the ? slid across the top of the cab. My guess is the boulder, concrete or heavy ice chunk was almost 10-12" 's accross.

Robby you are wise well beyond your age of 21 years, and the " Jack Johnson" part was hilarious. You, your parents and your teachers should all be commended.

No offense but I might have went the " Jack Johnson " route had it not have been 3 of them almost a mile from the orig site having a seemingly endless supply of rocks. I also had a wife and 2 8yr olds locked in my car w no cell phone while I was on the phone with police and watching the thugs from a distance.

In retrospect I should have waited and surprised one and did the Jack Johnson. It would have save a bunch of time and hassle for all.

In light of a very near by situation that happened  approx 6 months ago where an idiot dropped a patio block off of a bridge overpass in a 55mph zone. It killed the driver. I couldn't stand by and do nothing on this. If something later would have happened I couldn't handle knowing I didn't take the time to try to solve the problem in advance. . The person in that case btw is in prison as we speak.

Taking the law into your own hands is a no-no and you would have been in more trouble than the perks.

That is our legal system.

Protect the perks and the heck with the victums.

I know how you feel and thank goodness you did the right thing.
