The Legend The Man

At 56 years old I remember the 1960 NFL Championship Game, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Green Bay Packers. I have seen some of the greatest games and player in the history of Professional Football but if Bret Farve isn't the greatest player ever I don't know who is. I don't mean just at quarterback but as an all around player there is no one who plays for the pure enjoyment of the game. If he ends up playing the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas next week where he hasn't won since his rookie year I'll still take Farve.

I thought you were speaking of me.

Yes, Bret is really good.

But don't forget the other great NFL players such as Jimmy Taylor, Y.A. Tittle, Bert Jones, Billy Cannon, Earl Gross, Roy Winston, Ken Kavanaugh, Sr., Anthony McFarland, George Rice, Alan Fanaca and a few more.

And then there is Bart Starr.

After today's game, another chapter was added to the Legend of Brett Favre.  He looked fantastic.  Down 14, weather/field conditions deteriorating, no problem.

After he completed that 3rd down with that falling down lob, you knew there was no way they were loosing that game.

He didn't force the ball when they were down, and that was big.  It's obvious he really trusts his receiver corp, something that hasn't happened for awhile.  Great routes run, a near flawless day by Favre, and the YAC keep piling up.  That crossing route by Jennings that turned into a TD was beautiful.

The whole team looked really really good today, sans Grant's two fumbles.  He sure made up for them though.  Can't forget to mention the O-line.  Great job.
